Webmaster Tools and Tips is one of 20 KIPCUG SIGs (Special Interest Groups) that meet monthly. Kentucky - Indiana PC Users Group is the largest user group in Kentucky and Southern Indiana. Is that e-mail really coming from Bill Gates?

Why are you getting bounced messages that
you have never actually sent out?

The Win.Net Staff will be covering e-mail.  We all have been receiving virus messages lately.  Michael does not have the answer!  He can't stop it all!  But,  the Win.Net Staff will fill us in on what is happening from the ISP site of the server.

• How do you read an e-mail header?
• Is it worth your time to fight SPAM?
• Does an ISP really block your outgoing mail?
• Will your mail be blocked if someone uses your name?
• Can you send out mail using the bcc: feature?
• Does Win.Net offer its clients a mass-mailing tool?

As a webmaster, we all want to contact our client list.  The problem is that e-mail messages are filling our in-box.  We will take a look at the basics of e-mail messages and how to read the source code.  If you are not receiving SPAM, you may stay home.  If you have received SPAM or might in the future, this month's presentation should be interesting.  s
