Clear Type Fonts, Shortcut icon,  Bookmark Page Script

1) Increase your productivity by 20% with improved screen type output!

This tip works best with flat panel monitors and laptop computers

<Control Panel> <Display> <Appearance> <Effects>  Choose "ClearType" instead of "Standard"

2)  Increase your bookmark visibility and therefore future traffic.

For Internet Explorer 5, the required size of a shortcut icon is 16x16 pixels. To create the icon, use an icon editor, such as the one included in Microsoft Visual Studio or one of the many other icon editors available. (I used my regular image program: Ulead's PhotoImpact.) Regardless of the program you use, make sure you set the editor to create an icon that is 16 x16 pixels. (I used 256 color base) Otherwise, the icon will be ignored by Internet Explorer.  Save image file with the ".ico" file name.

  inet16.ico

Your call your icon based on where you stored it:  If in the root directory of your domain:
For example: "www.inetwebmaster.com/inet16.ico" or just "inet16.ico"

Update: Using photos for ico files  (3/20/2008)

3)  Increase the number of times your page is "Bookmarked."

You can use a "Bookmark the Page" script to suggest your viewer save your page.
